Dr. Daniel Mejia

Dr. Daniel Mejia believes that great dentistry is about more than healthy teeth—it’s about building trust, helping people feel comfortable, and creating smiles that last a lifetime. As the owner of Atlas Dentistry, his goal is simple: to provide exceptional, honest dental care in an environment where every patient feels welcomed, respected, and genuinely cared for.

A graduate of The College of William & Mary, where he earned his degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry cum laude, Dr. Mejia went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is passionate about staying at the forefront of modern dentistry and continually pursues advanced education in digital dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic treatment, adhesive dentistry, and same-day CAD/CAM restorations.

Dr. Mejia enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in conservative tooth preservation, and restoring patients’ confidence through functional, natural-looking results. He believes the best treatment begins with listening. Every patient deserves to understand their options and feel empowered to make informed decisions without pressure.

Before opening Atlas Dentistry, Dr. Mejia and his wife, pediatric dentist Dr. Olga Raptis, spent two years traveling across the globe. Their adventures took them from trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to volunteering in underserved communities where they provided dental care to patients with limited access to treatment. Those experiences reinforced the values that guide Atlas Dentistry today: compassion, humility, lifelong learning, and treating every patient like family.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Mejia enjoys fitness, travel, exploring new cultures, and planning the next adventure with Dr. Raptis. Together, they are committed to creating a dental practice where advanced technology, exceptional clinical care, and genuine human connection come together to provide an experience that patients can truly look forward to.
