A comprehensive exam is a complete check of your oral health. Dr. Mejia looks at your teeth, gums, bite, jaw, and the soft tissues of your mouth. The exam includes digital X-rays, intraoral camera images, and an oral cancer screening. For new patients, it also sets a baseline we can compare against at every future visit.
We start by reviewing your health history and asking about any concerns you have. Next, we take digital X-rays and use a small intraoral camera to capture close up images of each tooth. Dr. Mejia shares these images with you on screen during the exam, so you see exactly what we see. You'll leave with clear findings and a plan, if you need one.
